About Dennis
“Step right
up, roll the balls down, add the
numbers up, every player wins a prize!”
Having spent his early years travelling
around the showgrounds, or carnivals, with his father’s show business,
the Touring Boxing Stadium, Dennis grew up in an environment rich in
Australian history and tradition.
For more than 20 years, the family toured
the country’s showgrounds, taking on all fighting enthusiasts from
back of Bourke to The Alice, Cunnamulla to Kalgoorlie and beyond. But
there was more than just the boxing stadium.

His family enthralled the
locals with a string of sideshows like ‘The Mighty Atom’, the
Siamese greyhound with five legs, six feet and two tails. Then there was
Goliath, who was shown as the tallest thoroughbred in the world.

Dennis relates the stories of his
childhood in a relaxed and friendly style, easily identifying with his
varied audiences. He has also been in the corporate world where he grew a
contracting business from none to 22 employees.
Underlying the humor and drama of the
showgrounds, Dennis speaks about the rigid disciplines required in the
boxing arena, as well as in the successful operation of a touring show
business over many years. He believes that these same disciplines and
attitudes still apply to the volatile business world of the 2000’s.
Dennis’ presentations are certainly
worth catching. His brand of humour is warm and funny, and spiced with
subtle messages which have inspired many from his audiences. His blend
of humour and inspiration makes him an ideal speaker for any event.
